The AAPQ represents the industry's interests before several committees

    • Negotiates the Agreement concerning commercials with the Union des Artistes.
    • Serves as an interpreter of this Agreement to the producers.
    • Participates in the Advertising Standards Canada administration council.
    • Participates in the analysis of advertising complaints for the Quebec division of Advertising Standards Canada.
    • Is an active member of the Quebec Council of the Communication Industry
    • Participates in the Funds attribution committee of the Zoom Media Agency Network

The AAPQ is actively engaged in improving study programs in marketing and communications

    • Supports and finances, in collaboration with HEC Montreal, a graduate study program in marketing communication (DESSCM). Each member benefits from an $800 discount per student on the annual renewal of their membership.
    • Has created and administrates a "mentors program", exclusively offered to DESSCM students.
    • Gives a $6,000 prize each year to the DESS graduating student with the best cumulative average.
    • Participates in the University of Montreal Advertising certificate program's council.
    • Is creating, in collaboration with the University of Quebec in Montreal, a bachelor's program in integrated marketing communications.
    • Is creating a research fund in marketing communications.

The AAPQ provides its members with unique resources in order to encourage their growth

    • An electronic database on the industry
      • A salary survey (conducted every 3 years) and distributed only to participating members.
      • A special report on advertising laws in Quebec and Canada (coming soon)
    • Conferences and seminars for directors of member agencies 
      • Special seminars on management, finances, leadership, etc.
      • Conferences on the industry's issues
    • An exclusive newsletter
      • In each newsletter: a special report on an industry issue, an interview with an advertiser, different articles related to management and industry news.
    • An information service
      • Daily following of the Se@o and MERX and free distribution of the opportunities to members
      • Sending of all important official documents to members (documents coming from Advertising Standards Canada, Union des Artistes, etc)
    •  A group insurance service (currently being developed)

    • Internet site with important information on each member.

The AAPQ encourages excellence in advertising work

    • Participates actively in the Cassies organization.  
    • Develops quality norms for its members and a Code of Ethics
